These terms govern your use of the Boleto mobile app and our websites (boleto-app.com and pay.boleto-app.com). By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them.
1. What Boleto is
Boleto is a marketplace that connects customers with independent salons and beauty parlours ("businesses"). The services you book are provided by the business, not by Boleto. We facilitate discovery, scheduling, payment, and communication between you and the business.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use Boleto.
- Keep your account credentials secure - you are responsible for activity on your account.
- Provide accurate information. Businesses must additionally complete identity and business verification before going live.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the platform, or harm other users.
3. Bookings
- A booking is confirmed once payment of the booking fee succeeds. You receive a reference and QR code - present it at the venue.
- Slot times are shown in the business's local time. Please arrive on time; a business may mark late arrivals as no-shows at its discretion.
- Prices shown in the app are the customer-facing prices for each service. Any remaining balance not paid online is settled directly at the venue.
4. Payments
- Online payments are processed by PayHere. Boleto does not store your card details.
- Businesses receive their earnings through the platform after the platform service fee is deducted.
5. Cancellations, reschedules, and refunds
- You may cancel or reschedule a booking up to 2 hours before the appointment start time, free of charge, from inside the app.
- When you cancel an eligible paid booking, the amount you paid online is refunded automatically to the original payment method. Refund settlement time depends on your bank.
- Cancellations within 2 hours of the start time are not available in the app. Contact the business directly - honouring late cancellations is at the business's discretion.
- If a business cancels your booking, or your slot becomes unavailable (for example a staff member becomes unavailable), you are notified and any online payment is refunded in full, or you can pick a new time.
- No-shows are not refunded.
6. For businesses
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, services, prices, and opening hours, and for delivering booked services professionally.
- Verification documents must be genuine and belong to you. We may re-verify or take a business offline where we suspect fraud.
- Earnings become available for withdrawal after the appointment is completed, subject to the payout minimum and bank transfer fees shown in the app.
- The platform service fee is deducted from each online booking. The current fee is always visible when you set service prices.
7. Reviews and content
- Only customers who completed a booking can review it. Reviews must be honest and respectful - no offensive, misleading, or unlawful content.
- By posting content (reviews, photos, business profiles) you grant Boleto a licence to display it within the platform.
- We may remove content that violates these terms.
8. Acceptable use
- No fraudulent bookings or payments, and no circumventing the platform's fees.
- No harassment of businesses, staff, or other users.
- No scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the service.
9. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep Boleto available, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of uninterrupted operation. We may add, change, or withdraw features, and we may update these terms - material changes will be announced in the app.
10. Liability
The services you book are performed by the business; Boleto is not liable for the quality or outcome of a treatment. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising out of the platform is limited to the amount you paid through Boleto in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka.
